Build It Home Improvement magazine is the UK's leading practical resource for self-builders. The vast majority (61%) plan to construct a brand new house over the next 12 months where their typical spend on materials will be over £100,000. However, readers struggle to find land and get caught up in an overly complex set of planning procedures. Clearly the Government can do more to help. In doing so, the Government would have a great way of providing more new homes and renewing the existing housing stock to better eco credentials. So, Build It heartily supports the Get Britain Building and NaSBA (www.nasba.org.uk) campaigns.
